My students have just completed Pecha Kuchas on fiction they read independently. It was one of the best projects we’ve ever done. The best part of it was the way they had to contend with, and enact, multiple modalities and literacies. If you’re looking for an idea for your class, I highly recommend it. Here are a few examples.

Hi Royan, these are great! Do you have this written out as an assignment you would be willing to share?

I’ve passed this along to our grade eight teacher. I can see that there would be a lot of different programs or apps that could be used. On our network image there is Photostory3 that would create a Pecha Kucka. I also know iMovie would work as well as PowerPoint with narration. Do you have any suggestions for online sites that you can upload photos and narration?

The students used CC search. Most are from Flickr.
