How a Song was Written

Love this story from Jamie Cullum about how the title song of Clint Eastwood‘s Gran Torino was written and recorded. It says so much about inspiration and collaboration.

  1. Royan, a terrific post on a number of levels. I particularly enjoyed Cullum’s setting the movie’s context. The movie is classic Eastwood and reminds me that “doing” can often precede “believing”. Of course I do identify will an older character learning!

  2. Royan,

I enjoyed the post about the song collaboration. I especially like how Clint Eastwood sent Jamie just a handful of notes and then those notes became Jamie’s inspiration. So very cool. Two very talented people working together for a great product is always great to learn about. I decided to watch the movie and enjoyed the song so much because I knew the story behind it. Thank you for the post.
