I’ve been asked by a couple of people to share a digital version of the anchor chart I developed with my students to help remind them about certain things in their formal writing. Here it is for all of you too. Reuse, remix, recycle.

  1. I don’t like that phrase “formal writing,” and so when I saw a Tweet about this post, I was ready to object to what I read. However, I mostly like this!!!! 🙂 I read this as an excellent starting place for writers who have sent a lot of text messages but not written for audiences in other “places.”

  2. Yeah,yeah,yeah! It’s all about context! What kind of language do you use as you’re writing for different audiences?
